Never Underestimate The Benefits Of Security Screen Doors
What are the differences in mesh and screens and which one is most suitable for your doors and screens?
Standard ‘fly-screen’ mesh is applied to our safety doors, this mesh is as simple as its name – it’s designed to keep out the flies. It’s placed behind one of our many safety door designs allowing you to open your entrances and allow airflow during summer without letting the bugs in.
With the security, safety, barrier, screen doors – you have an option as to the type of mesh that lines the door. These range from standard (basic) mesh through to the toughest mesh, Invisiguard. You can view the different types here.
There are many upgraded options available to provide alternative purposes and needs:
Protection Against Pet Claws
Now who loves their fur-babies? And who loves it when they jump at the door and rip your fly-screen?
If this is a regular occurrence to your home, we recommend upgrading to our ‘paw-proof’ screen. This screen has been designed as a PVC heavy gauge polyester mesh so when your fur-baby digs their claws in, the screen simply separates and holds stronger than the fly-screen. Although not unbreakable, this screen is designed for the home with excited doggos and cats.
The paw-proof screen is currently on display at our showroom in Leumeah, ask our friendly staff for a demonstration!

The vision mesh is a domestic aluminium mesh, cut to size in one piece to sit behind a safety door design. With many colours to choose from, the mesh is designed to view out without allowing your visitor to view inside.
The cut of the mesh tricks the light, during the day, visitors will not be able to see clearly inside your home allowing privacy during the day. This effect is lessened in the evening however still adds a layer of privacy.

Our security doors are fitted with a woven stainless steel mesh, adding both protection and strength to your home.

The mesh can stand alone at full strength without an aluminium design, however to add strength to our safety doors, you can enquire and request stainless steel mesh.
Our Alu-gard mesh is a thick 1.6mm perforated aluminium mesh. The Alu-guard adds strength and has been tested by Australian Standards AS5039-2008 for hinged doors. It has passed the Knife Shear Test, Dynamic Impact Test and Lock and Lever Hinge Test; providing you with added peace of mind. Alu-Guard offers a lifetime guarantee from distortion.
